COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS FROM THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
Enter the Alumni Association's annual COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP competition. More than $50,000 in scholarships (ranging from $500 to $25,000) will be awarded to 15 to 20 seniors this spring. All seniors are encouraged to apply. Pick up a scholarship application in the College Office, Room 225, or the Alumni Office, Room 301-B, or click here to download an application. The deadline for submitting completed applications is Monday, April 26, 2010. PLEASE DON'T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE because the application has many parts including an essay, and a recommendation letter.

ROBOTICS NEW YORK CHAMPIONS
The Stuyvesant Robotics Team won the New York Regional this past weekend! After being selected for the 1st alliance, StuyPulse targeted, shot, and hung its way to victory in the finals. The team has now qualified for the Championship in Atlanta, GA, and will compete there later in April!

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held: Thursday Evening, March 18th from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday Afternoon, March 19th from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Parents may visit classes on Friday, March 19th from 8 a.m. until 12 Noon. Please click here to view the Room Assignments during Open School.

Parents who wish to participate in Class Visitations on Friday are asked to enter via the main entrance on the first floor lobby and sign in. Please click here to view information from Principal Teitel regarding Class Visitations.

AP EXAM REGISTRATION SCHEDULE
AP Exam Registration is done on-line at students.stuyhs.net and will end this Friday, March 19th at 12 Noon. Registration printout and checks (no cash) are due on or before Friday, March 19th to Room 209. If you are not in an AP class and wish to take the exam, see the Department AP for approval and bring Exam Waiver to Room 209. Your registration is not complete until all paperwork and checks are turned into Room 209. AP Exam Bulletins are available outside Room 209. PROJECT CICERO
PROJECT CICERO is a book drive that collects new and gently used books for children and young adults. Books must be in new or excellent condition. We need early readers through high school fiction and all non-fiction (including reference books, biographies, science and math), both hardcover and paperback. Picture books are also welcome. Reference materials should not be more than five years old. PROJECT CICERO does not accept discards from school libraries, textbooks or books for adults. Project Cicero will be held from Monday March 1st through Friday morning, March 5th. Books may be dropped off in designated boxes by the bridge entrance.

SING! 2010
After five weeks of intense preparation and rehearsals, SING! 2010 is finally here. The entire Stuy community is invited to enjoy the shows on Wednesday at 6 PM, Friday at 6:30 PM, and Saturday at 7 PM. Last chance to purchase SING! tickets in school, will be Thursday, March 4th. Tickets are being sold in the Student Union offices.

EYEGLASSES DRIVE
The Sights on the Future Club will have an eyeglasses drive from Monday, March 1 to Friday, March 12. Please donate unneeded prescription/nonprescription eyeglasses, bifocals, reading glasses, and sunglasses--no cases needed. They will be sent to people in need around the world by the OneSight Foundation. Please drop the glasses in the OneSight collection boxes by the bridge.
